Here's a quick revision of an old sketch. He's a dapper fellow with a few screws loose and a tendency for ankle injuries. Maybe I'll expand his story and start a book project. I'm wondering if there is a market for my style/work, or if I should momentarily work more on adapting.
I made a headpiece to attach a hat for the Dark Arts festival, I was pretty pleased. I used red and peacock feathers (you can't see the peacock in the photo I suppose, but they worked well), a vintage cameo, and a red veil from a different hat. It was very last minute but worth the super glue stuck on my fingers. I attached leftover feathers to a broach and it seemed to work out. I'm considering selling these on etsy or something, but I know there are many headpiece makers and haberdashers already on the site. I would probably try to attach them to vintage hats and jewelry. Anyway just an idea.

i love it! i remember when you posted the original, too. very nice. :)
also, i don't think you should change your style. i personally love it. you could always expand on it, though, and that way you open yourself up to a wider market.
ha! prone to ankle injuries. you should do an A-Z like edward gorey. all strange creatures who have an evolutionary disadvantages.. and i gave you the wrong url. its really hummdrummm.blogspot.com
maybe i need to start a new blog. so many people cant see me. WTF?
*disadvantage ;P
Yeah that's what I've been trying to do. Salt Lake is proving to be a tough market especially now with such change in the industry. I'm trying to get into little niches, which seems like the way to go here. But no luck yet.
